What is the difference between 3.0T Gen 1 and Gen 2?

Audi 3.0T Gen 1 refers to US B8 and B8.5 generations. (Internationally, B8.5 is a Gen 2 engine) Gen 2 and CREC are synonymous. Quick Check:
